My Switzerland Accident
My worst accident to date. My face hit that yellow box. They said it took them 20 min to stabilize me 16 screws, 4 plates later and here I am. Everything happens for a reason and I'm a stronger person today because of it. Happiness is a choice. -

This was at the 2002 Inline World Cup in Zurich Switzerland. You can't see it in this pic but I've actually got two different boots on because I twisted my ankle all the way around causing a spiral fracture that kept me in a walking cast for 3 months and off skates for about 4.5 months. This was about 1 month back on skates and -

I honestly can't say exactly when this was, but I think I'm warming up for the men's relay. The reason for this is because I have those sharp Oakley Flak-Jackets on. I only wore those for the relay final. Shout out to Thomas for this awesome shot, no editing at all on my part.

Opening Ceremonies
FIND MALONEY!!! This was the best part of the entire Olympics for me, medal ceremony included. Being able to be one of the 216 that walks out and represents the greatest country on earth, never been more proud. THIS was a true dream realized. (look for the only one with out a beanie on, i forgot to put it back on lol)

1500 meter #1 - Semi
This is the beginning of the second day of racing. I had the number two helmet cover on the whole day. We had semi-finals and finals for the 1500 meter. Each round as difficult as the next.

The A final where the elite battle for final points. Top 2 from each round, 6 total (in most cases), make it through from the semi-finals. In this A final I was accompanied by: J.R. Celski, Apolo Anton Ohno, Travis Jayner, Simon Cho, Charles Leveille, & Eddy Alvarez. Quite an exciting race. In this photo, teammate JR takes a slightly wider entry into the corner that I'm not ready for. He caught me a little off guard.

2006 World Championships - Minneapolis, MN
This was the 2006 World Championships held in Minneapolis. I only qualified for the 4th spot on the team, meaning I was only there for the relay. The Olympic team already had automatically had spots on the team.

2005 World Championships - Beijing, China
This was my first World Championships in short track speedskating. This was also only my third international Ice competiton from with the US team. I made the transition in late 2003, then back to Inline, and then back to ice. That means I was only in training about 7 months (not consecutive) before this competiton, and thrown to the wolves lol.

If you've watched the video of my 15K elimination and read the description, you’ll notice that one of my competitors was diagnosed with cancer in 2003. At beginning of this competition we had talked to his coach and found out that he was going through Chemo and was balled. So like the crazy friends we are, Me and Steve Carter (in front of me) Shaved our heads and sent him pictures. Shaun Thompson, great competitor, great friend, you are missed buddy. RIP -

The 10K points/elimination is arguably the most grueling race in inline. This was also my first senior world championship medal and it happened to be a gold. I remember actually hittin the wall really hard about half way through this race and having to encourage myself to keep going. Good thing I did because this started my dominance of the 2003 senior devision. -

Oly's First Day
Meet Oly. He's my Westie (West Highland White Terrier). I got him the summer of 2008 and this is a pic of me driving him home on his first day with me. He has always been a breath of fresh air and keeps me in a good mood. He's become quite a star and has been to two 2009 trials, Olympic trials, and the Vancouver Olympics. I have tons of video and pics of him cause he is the cutest dog ever and I'm a proud dad. I was told to put up an album so I am, here is everything Oly =] Enjoy. -
